Zip It & Throw Away The Key!

Last night it dawned on me.. I realized why I love performing sooo much. Why I have such a romantic relationship with the stage, the audience, the mic. For that short amount of time that I am on that platform I have your undivided attention. You are listening to every word, seeing every action and possibly understanding me. All of this doesn't too much happen in my personal life. I feel as if I speak to deaf ears constantly. I'm seen as a clown to the ones I care about, jus entertainment, that's all. On that stage, to that sea of strangers my opinion, my mind iz respected even if what I'm saying iz wrong or not agreed upon. I keep my mouth shut to certain people in my day to day life cuz it's like I can physically see my words going in one ear and out the other. Maybe I should make things rhyme to get your attention..

Have you ever been in a situation where you told somebody something, gave them advice maybe, and they pay you no mind... BUT... Someone else told them the same exact thing and they acted like Jesus wrote it on the back of the 10 Commandments and personally delivered it to them on their birthday riding a dinosaur wearing a t-shirt with their name on it made out of skin from an endangered speices?

Cuz that's what keeps happening to me.... I jus proceed to not speak.. "don't speak I knooowww jusss what you're saaayyin soo please stop explainin// don't teell me cuz it hurts// no no dooon't sppeak...." sorry I sometime burst out into song...anywho...

BING! I Just Killed My Opinion With My Mind!

  2. I feel where u comin from too. However as longs as they get the message that's all that matters. Ask many parents they will definitely agree that they have told many tales and given much advice that has seemingly fell on deaf ears however understood perfectly from someone else. That's why the saying goes it takes a village to raise a child. Don't be mad if the message wasn't received from you as long as they received it right? Lets work together to restore the village! Peace God.
